A cracked garage floor gets worse over time if ignored. Water infiltrates cracks, freezes in winter, and widens them further.
Fix 1: Filling Hairline Cracks
Clean the crack with a wire brush. Apply concrete crack filler directly into the crack. Smooth flush. Allow 24-48 hours before driving on it.
Fix 2: Repairing Wider Cracks
Chisel out the crack to create an undercut. Clean out all debris. Apply concrete repair mortar with a trowel and compact firmly. Smooth flush and cover with plastic for 24 hours.
Fix 3: Treating Oil Stains
Pour cat litter over the stain overnight to absorb oil. Apply a concrete degreaser, scrub, and rinse thoroughly.
Fix 4: Resurfacing Spalled Concrete
Pressure wash the floor and let dry. Apply concrete resurfacer in a thin self-leveling layer. Allow 24 hours before foot traffic and 72 hours before vehicles.
